Decadent Breakfasts... YUM!
I don't know what's been going on lately, but I have been CRAVING sweets.
Most of my life I've been that freak who opts for a T-Bone steak and potatoes instead of cheesecake, but for the past month+ I have been lusting over chocolate, vegan ice cream, cookies.. AGH!
In order to pacify the cookie monster who's moved in and taken over my palate I decided to get my sweet-fix via smoothies. Smart, right? (Hopefully!)
I've created this delicious morning smoothie to kick-start the day with energy and satisfy my sweet tooth. I think you'll love it!
This smoothie is creamy, decadent, energizing + lightly crunchy!
2 cups strawberries
1 large ripe banana
1/2 cup pitted dates
1 1/2 cup coconut milk
2 tbs unsweetened coconut flakes
1. Place strawberries, banana, dates, and coconut milk in blender. Pulse until blended. If thicker consistency is desired add 1 cup of ice and blend.
2. Add 1 tbs coconut flakes and pulse 1-2 times. Pour smoothie into a cup, top with remaining coconut flakes and enjoy!

A fun twist on this recipe would be to add citrus to make it tangy OR chocolate to make it rich.. Okay, I need to stop. My mouth is watering.
